$4.9 billion Gin Sur Mer project is gathering Momentum (Grand Bahama/Freeport)
The $4.9 billion Gin Sur Mer project at West End is gaining "momentum" and has recorded its highest ever sales in January despite the downturn in the US and UK real estate markets, according to investor Bobby Ginn."We took about 28 contracts on lots and that is the highest month in sales since we started the project (here), and February looks equally as good," he said on Thursday at West End. |

Govt signs deal with Baha Mar for Cable Beach investment project (New Providence/Nassau)
Government has signed a supplemental Heads of Agreement with Baha Mar, and its joint venture partner Harrah's, for the $2.6 billion investment project on Cable Beach. This comes some 33 months after the initial agreement was signed for the project during the Christie administration. |

Albany's fate in its own hands (New Providence/Nassau)
The start date and construction schedule for the $1.4 billion Albany Golf & Beach Resort "is entirely in the hands" of the developers, who are working to "finalise one last document" with the Government at a meeting set for today. Dr Earl Deveaux, Minister Of Works and Ttransport, said Albany had obtained all the necessary approvals from his ministry for Phase I of their project, and did not need to "negotiate any further deal with the Government". |

Elbow Cay locals claim land bought without consultation (Abaco)
Islanders are irate that an American developer — who has a second home on the island that he turned into a rental property — has bought 14 acres consisting of 58 parcels of land in Hope Town while in talks to acquire another 17 acres which houses the Elbow Cay Club. |
